About Me
Lauren is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), who graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2017 with a Master’s degree in Social Work. Since that time, she has been able to garner experience in a variety of settings including hospice, emergency room/inpatient mental health, outpatient counseling and non-profit settings. Lauren is particularly passionate about supporting those who are grieving/experiencing loss, maternal mental health, and women's issues/relationships.
Lauren’s priority is to collaborate with you to build a life aligned with your strengths, values, and life aspirations. She is ready to partner with you on this journey of self-exploration and acceptance in a comfortable, relaxing, judgement-free environment. At times, this journey can be challenging. Lauren is ready to support those challenges while also pushing you outside of your comfort zone if needed. This can be hard work and the ultimate goal for this therapeutic process is to leave you feeling empowered to embrace your needs and have hope for your future. She is ready to support those seeking short term support or those who are striving for continuous personal growth.

During the therapeutic process, a variety of interventions and approaches may be used when navigating the complex feelings and emotions that come with these mental health concerns and life stressors. Lauren employs a strength-based, holistic approach when working with each individual client. It is important to remember and include the impact of experiences from the family, social, culture and spiritual dimensions. Lauren is LGTBQIA+ affirming and culturally competent. She looks forward to supporting adolescents, adults and couples on their path to achieve their personal goals.

When not working Lauren enjoys spending time with her family, traveling to the beach, exploring the RVA restaurant scene and reading a good book.
