Group Counseling
A group counseling approach effectively addresses life's challenges alongside others with similar experiences, fostering a sense of belonging, connection, support, and acceptance.
Group counseling provides a safe and confidential environment where participants can practice being open and honest, as well as give and receive feedback and encouragement within a social setting. The benefits are multifaceted, including normalization and validation, emotional support from peers, enhanced self-awareness, skill development, exposure to diverse perspectives, and motivation for change. Each person is responsible for their own growth, which can, in turn, inspire growth in others. Group counseling can be a powerful tool for personal development and healing, offering a blend of support, perspective, and skill-building that may surpass what individual therapy can offer.

Going through the Motions?
Virtual Support Group for Adults Living With Chronic Illness
Living with a chronic illness is an ongoing journey: physically, emotionally, and socially. According to the CDC, a chronic condition is one that lasts a year or more, requires ongoing medical care, and can interfere with daily life. While many chronic illnesses can be managed with consistent treatment, they often come with emotional challenges, especially when others: friends, coworkers, even family don’t fully understand. Encountering this uphill battle between daily responsibilities, treatment regimens, and a body that often works against you, can be immensely stressful and contribute to anxiety, depression and feelings of isolation.
What to expect:
- 10 Weekly virtual meetings through the fall
- Peer support & guided conversations
- Education and tips
- Connection with others who get it
Starts: Friday, September 5th from 3pm-4pm
Location: Private HIPAA compliant video call
Cost: $50 for all 10 sessions
